(via imgTumble)I’ve been going a bit crazy with the ingredients found in my hair products. One night after reading a list of bad products that companies put in hair products to replace more expensive, high quality products (the ones that actually help your hair =.=) with Errica, we both decided to start using more natural and organic products…
Before I buy any product for my hair, I read the ingredients first. The more natural, the better. :) Of course, no product will be 100% natural (other than oils—and by the way, I do only use extra virgin oils in my hair :) coconut oil for moisturizing; olive oil for sealing), so I get as close as I can to 100%.
Over the past couple of weeks I have gathered a small “haul” >.>’
The natural products can get expensive, but I get so excited about how much better it is for my hair and what kind of differences I’ll be seeing! :D
I’ve also found that natural products eliminate my need for a lot of my other products that I used before using natural products. So actually… I’m saving! :D haha I know, I know.. I’m just rationalizing XD
If any of you have used any of these products before and have any kind of review to give me, that’d be awesome! :D
(I’ve been using coconut oil for a few weeks and I already know I like it. And I’ve been using olive oil for sealing for a long time… so no reviews are needed on those. I’ve used the Yes To Carrots conditioner once, and I liked it, but it hasn’t been enough for me to know if it’s really any good for me. Same with the Burt’s Bees products. As for the Giovanni and Jason’s products, a natural hair guru said she really liked those products and they work for her, and I figured I’d see if they worked for me too… haven’t used them yet. But I will soon. After more time, I want to do reviews.)

My Favorite Natural Dos!
I wanted to make a post of all my staple hairdos and while making it I realized that I do the same 4 things over and over again! So im gonna have to broaden my repertoire and do this post again in the future for now here they are!
1. Twisties: I basically always have my hair in two strand twists, it’s a good protective style and its simple. The fun thing about twisties is it’s like 4 hairdos in one. You can twist you hair and wear your twists down, or pin them up a million different ways, and than when a week later when you unbraid you get a nice twists out! be ware of what leave in you use to make your twists in makes a huge different in your twist outs, i think kimmytubes kinkycurl mix makes for the best twist outs!
2. Twist outs: Since twisties lead to twistouts i have my fair share of twist out hair which is just fun curls :). For me the most successful twist outs come when you blow dry your hair before you twist them it makes for longer fluffier curls like Corrine B. Rae’s!
3.Updos! I love a good updo i think they’re so classy! the Tuck and go is my favorite, again kimmytube has a good tutorial for that. and you can do your minitwists into a tuck and go which is like a double protective style and makes them look a bit more grown.
4. Puff: can’t go wrong with a nice puff firmly planted at the tippytop of my head with my handy kneehigh sock. easy quick and clean hairdo.
5. Kinky Curly/ Wash and goes: Don’t do these as much but they are nice for when its summer time and you feel like showin off your curl pattern.
6. Straighten: Yes I’m guilty of straightening my hair every now and again, i just love to feel my hair on my back and checking out how long my hair really is when bone straight. I usually go to the dominican hair salon to get it done and that’s when i get my ends trimmed as well. Only like twice a year.
Only 6 dos but who needs much more than that! And you can do many different versions of these 6. I will try to learn some more thought :/
